Requirements by Operation Type

Private flights require permits. AOC not required for private aircraft.

All non-scheduled flights require prior permits.

Scheduled services governed by bilateral agreements.

Overflight Permit

Remarks:

Only overfly permit is necessary (no separate landing permit for overflights). AFTN must be included in flight plan.

Application Process:

Submit application to UCAA Air Transport Department at least 24 working hours prior with aircraft registration, route, purpose, and operator contact information.

Landing Permit

Remarks:

All foreign-registered aircraft require landing clearance. Full documentation required.

UCAA operates 24 hours a day. Signatory to Chicago Convention. AFTN required in flight plan. Strict ICAO compliance for dangerous goods transport.
