Private flights require permits. Same documentation requirements apply.

All non-scheduled operations require prior permits. 48 working hours lead time.

Overflight Permit

  • Validity: 72 hours from initial requested schedule

Permit number must be included in Item 18 of flight plan.

Submit application to DCA Air Transport Department at least 48 working hours prior with full flight details and aircraft documentation.

Landing Permit

  • Required: Yes

  • Lead Time: 48 working hours before departure
  • Validity: 72 hours from initial requested schedule
  • Fees: Landing and parking fees apply
Remarks:

All foreign-registered aircraft require landing clearance regardless of operation type.

Submit application to DCA with flight schedule, crew/passenger details, and aircraft documentation.

Cabotage
