Requirements by Operation Type

Private flights require permits. Foreign-registered aircraft transiting without landing also require permit.

All non-scheduled operations require prior overflight and landing permits.

Scheduled operations governed by bilateral agreements.

Overflight Permit

  • Lead Time: 48 working hours before departure
  • Validity: 72 hours from initial requested schedule
  • Fees: No CAA processing fees; ASECNA route navigation charges apply
Remarks:

ASECNA member state. Permit number must be inserted in Item 18 of flight plan.

Application Process:

Submit application to ANAC Air Transport Department at least 48 working hours prior with full flight details.

Landing Permit

  • Required: Yes
  • Authority: ANAC Congo - Air Transport Department
  • Lead Time: 48 working hours before departure
  • Validity: 72 hours from initial requested schedule
  • Fees: Landing and parking fees apply; ASECNA navigation charges
Remarks:

Required for all foreign-registered aircraft conducting non-scheduled operations.

Application Process:

Submit application to ANAC with flight schedule, routing, passenger/cargo details, and aircraft documentation.

Cabotage

Prohibited for foreign operators
