Baro-VNAV

Baro-VNAV (Barometric Vertical Navigation) provides computed vertical guidance on approach using barometric altitude inputs rather than ground-based signals (like ILS glide slope) or satellite-based augmentation.

Baro-VNAV enables approaches with vertical guidance (APV) at airports without ILS, using the aircraft FMS to compute a descent path. It is temperature-dependent and requires correction in cold weather to ensure adequate terrain clearance.
